A small, friendly integrated primary school on the shores of Strangford Lough, where every child is known by name and encouraged to take pride in their learning.
Killyleagh Integrated Primary School serves the village of Killyleagh and the surrounding countryside. We have seven classes, from Primary 1 to Primary 7, and a staff team who between them have taught here for many years.
As an integrated school we deliberately bring together children of Catholic and Protestant traditions, and those of other faiths and none. That is not a slogan on a wall — it shapes assemblies, the way we mark festivals, and the conversations children have with one another every day.
Our building is modest and well cared for, with a garden, a field and a hall that doubles as everything from a dining room to a theatre. Children learn outdoors as often as the weather allows.

We are a small school, and that matters. Staff know every child by name and notice when something is not quite right.

The village, the shore and the countryside around us are part of everyday learning, not an occasional trip.

Parents are welcome in school. The best outcomes happen when home and school talk to each other regularly.
Governance
Our Board of Governors
The Board of Governors works with the Principal on the school development plan, finance, admissions and staffing. Governors are drawn from parents, staff, the Education Authority and the wider community.
