P3 replant the school garden for autumn

Primary school children planting seedlings in raised beds with their teacher

Posted by Mr S. Hughes

Our P3 class made a great start to the new school year by taking charge of the raised beds beside the playground. The children cleared the summer growth, turned the soil and planted onions, garlic and winter salad leaves.

Thank you to the parents who donated compost and seed potatoes over the summer. The gardening club will meet every Thursday after school this term, and we still have a few places available.

Photographs from the morning have been added to the school gallery.
